We’re hiring: Type training instructor

We are seeking an experienced LAME to deliver type training. This is an opportunity to step into a new role, attain new licences and expose yourself to new aircraft types.

This role is a chance for an experienced engineer to pass on knowledge and take on a new challenge. As well as working with our founders to deliver type courses, you will also have the opportunity to take on ad-hoc maintenance contracts to maintain your hand skills and attain new licences.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop courseware (writing and schematics design)
  • Develop OJT Journals
  • Instruct type courses (theory and practical)
  • Carry out maintenance on 139, S-92A or Bell 412 aircraft

HeliTSA will provide you with the training and aircraft access you need to attain your licences on the courses we run.

Ideally we’re seeking a licensed 5 Cat (B1.3/B2), but we are also accepting expressions of interest from B1.3 or B2 licensed engineers with a type rating and experience on at least one of the following:

  • AW139
  • S-92A
  • Bell 412

A Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable but not necessary.

You must be comfortable speaking in front of industry peers, teaching to different skill levels and breaking down complex concepts for students.

  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunity to work from home when not instructing
  • Role includes ad-hoc maintenance to keep your hand skills current
  • Type training provided to attain new type ratings

This role is based in Brisbane. Please be aware that while you will spend a large amount of time in Brisbane, there will be times when travel will be required both domestically and overseas to deliver training and maintenance.

We’re an Australian-based Part 147 training organisation. We deliver type training to individuals and organisations in Australia and around the world.

Our company was established by maintenance engineers who wanted to improve the delivery of type training. That’s why we are looking for an experienced engineer who can bring insights from the field into the classroom and relate to the engineers on each course. All training on classroom instruction will be provided to the right applicant.

As we are growing, we will provide you with professional development opportunities and the right person will be able to grow with our company as we bring onboard further employees. We’re looking for someone who is motivated to grow with us and keep improving the way type training is delivered.

Please send us your CV and an email outlining why you feel you would be suitable for the role.
