Boeing selects HeliTSA as training provider for Australian Army’s H135 fleet

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) announced it has been selected to maintain the Australian Army’s new Airbus H135 ‘Juno’ training helicopter fleet of five aircraft. As part of this contract, HeliTSA has been chosen to provide airframe maintenance training.

Our type training course on the EC135 Series launched last year, providing local operators with an onshore training provider. The course meets BDA’s quality standard for training, allowing BDA to access training here in Australia.

“We’re committed to developing type training courses that we identify as needed in the local rotary industry. By doing so, we’re ensuring the supply chain for maintenance programs such as these can remain in Australia,” says HeliTSA Director Pep Sayabath.

“The H135 sustainment program will create 30 new jobs, and we’re proud to see our training support the growth of our industry.”

Two courses have been provided to BDA as part of our partnership, with more training to come this year (see Boeing’s full announcement here).

Our EC135 Series course covers both the Classic and Helionix variants in a single training block, providing engineers with both Classic and Helionix ratings on their licence.
